dating: hi-Momoyama Period (1573-1603) provenance: Japan, Shinogizukuri-iorimune. Nagasa (length 67.5 cm); hada: not visible; hamon: see gunome midare; boshi: ko maru kaeri yoru, copper habaki. Nakago mumei with a mekugi-ana. Koshirae with beautiful tsuba, toran-gata, sukidashi-bori with remains of gilding and with bird, floral motifs and waves. Handachi mounts in shakudo (kabuto-gane with broken parts). Black tsuka. Saya with red-dark lacquer with Tokugawa mon. Interesting blade from the late Muromachi period beginning Momoyama. length 93.5 cm.
