Florence, in the printing house of Cosimo Giunti, 1615. In 8°. Half parchment binding with corners. Spine with 2 tags. Printer's mark on the title page and on f. 2A6v. Title page loose from the binding. Light browning.
Specialist Notes
Evangelista Marcellino (1530-1593) was a Franciscan monk, chronicler of the order and writer, born Lorenzo Gerbi. Born in San Marcello Pistoiese, he died in Rome. He used the pseudonym Lorenzo Selva. This is a rare novel, with only a few copies recorded in Italian public libraries.
