Translated by Mr. Antonio Sozzini from Sarzana. In Naples by Lazzaro Scoriggio, 1622. First Italian edition and among the first to appear in Europe of this account of contemporary China, found posthumously at Ricci's office in Beijing. Engraved and historiated frontispiece within a beautiful architectural border. Contemporary full parchment binding, partially detached. Copy with large stains but complete and usable. Woodworm work on the right margin that starts from the frontispiece and reaches page 84, touching the text without compromising it.
