dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, English, single-and-false-edged blade, with wide fuller and tang, the base marked '4' under crown, the back 'DAWES BIRM.M'. Bronze hilt with sheath-guard wings, three loop-guards, long, three-sided cap, horn grip (small lacks) with coils, metal wire binding. Blackened iron scabbard with two bands, bronze suspension ring. length 95 cm.
