dating: machi Period (1392-1573) provenance: Japan, Made of iron. Shaped as maru-gata, ko-sukashi with two fans and two stylized hats, kozuka and kogai hitsu-ana, kaku-mimi-koniku. Middle Muromachi period, 15th century. The kanayama tsuba were produced in a relatively short time - about 200 years - in the Muromachi and Momoyama periods.Illustrated and described in Japanese, English and German in 'Tsuba' by Günther Heckmann, H.U.B. Verlag Nürtingen, 1995. No. T13. dimensions 7.4 x 7.3 x 0.5 cm.
