dating: 1861 provenance: Southern Italy, Wide, curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with wide fuller at the center and back groove, the tip ribbed in the middle, the first part finely engraved with trophies and floral motifs, the base signed '1861 Napoli Labruna'. Hilt based on the 1845 French model, made of brass partially pierced and engraved with floral motifs, the cap with Savoy coat of arms under crown. Leather scabbard with engraved brass mounts and provided with two suspension rings. Interesting and rare post-unification sabre.
