Forward spring lock signed "MULLER IN GENOVA". Wooden full stock with some signs of use, and stamp "1" on the butt stock and oval plate with silver inscription "Luigi Malatesta Campagna 1859-1860" (Luigi Malatesta 1859-1860 campaign) with a Savoy knot. Working trigger and set trigger. Iron mounts and ramrod.

The Carabinieri Genovesi were a corps of Garibaldian volunteers formed in Genoa during the patriotic climate of the Risorgimento. They came largely from Genoa’s democratic and Mazzinian circles, and many had gained experience in the Società di Tiro Nazion
