Juxtaposed, twisted barres, one smoothbore and one rifled, of different calibres, 17 mm and 11 mm (the rifled one); wide rib with a leaf-shaped rear sight and fore-end, marked in Gothic block capitals "WAGNER A BERNE". Tang engraved with floral motifs. Fine forward spring locks, both signed “WAGNER A BERNE”, with flower-engraved lock plates and cocks (one of the two crests missing). Walnut, half stock, with carved cheekpiece and checkered grip. Browned iron mounts; the trigger guard with XXXXX and the letters "FS" gold-inlaid. Brass-tipped original wooden stock with brass cartridge extractors.
