A beautiful, browned, rifled, two stage, 14 mm cal. barrel; the first part octagonal with the signature "G. Zaoue" in gold Gothic lettering, with refined floral spiral decorations also made of gold and a foldaway, adjustable rear sight; the second order continues to the nozzle, with longitudinal fullers; at the muzzle, precision foresight within a gold frame. At the powder chamber, on the left side, the mark of the Liège test bench. Engraved and partially gilded tang. Beautiful percussion forward spring lock, the lock plate fully engraved with fine floral spirals, the border and some elements gold inlaid, the end slightly lowered. Half stock in fine wood, micro-checkered grip. Iron mounts, partly browned, with engravings en suite and gold inlaid elements. The frame of the pin barrel-stock pin is also engraved. Brass tipped iron ramrod, with marks.

Specialist Notes
A remarkable sporting rifle; browning with some missing parts, otherwise in very good condition.
