Octagonal, 8 mm cal barrel with rear sight, with floral engraving at the base and front sight at the nozzle.Extremely rare detonating-pellet system; the lockplate with floral engravings at the tang and borders, in the centre signed “W. KÖNIG” within a gilt oval, slightly forward a hammer with lateral grip fitted with internal chain; at the front a disc-shaped element bearing the housing for the fulminate pellet, also fitted with a small rotating breech-piece opening the upper loading aperture; the latter positioned on the tang, finely engraved with floral motifs. The counterplate bears the marking “MAGDEBURG” within a gilt oval and is likewise decorated with chiselled engravings en suite with the lockplate. Wooden half-stock with chequered base, trigger-guard and butt-plate made of dark horn. Patchbox on the right side of the butt and cheek-piece on the left. With set trigger.
