6-1/2" barrel, with target foresight, provided with rare quick-release pin; marked with the company address between crosses on the back of the rib. Target fore-end with adjustment screws, mounted on the barrel hook. Six-shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Bright bore in excellent condition. Frame marked with the company name on the right side. Russian-style trigger guard, provided with finger support (Special Order). Checkered bakelite grip scales marked "S&W". Retains 90% of its original bluing. Trigger guard and cock with remains of casehardening. 44 S&W Russian calibre. Provided with the extremely rare additional 8'' barrel; bore and browning in excellent condition; with the same mark on the back as the other barrel and with the calibre inscription on the left side. Matching serial number "321xx" on the grip, cylinder, 6-1/2" barrel and on its hook; the long barrel, on the other hand, has no serial number and a hook with different numbering. Preserved in an antique two-tier wooden case. The upper compartment fitted for ammunition (several rounds present, some lacking primers); the lower compartment fitted for the revolver and a series of accessories. Of particular interest among the period accessories are spare triggers, rear sights of varying heights and front sights of different patterns and heights. Also of interest are several fired targets bearing dates and the shooter's signatures. The interior of the lid lined in blue cloth and decorated with two crossed paper flags, one of the Kingdom of Italy and one of Argentina. The lid with white metal plaque engraved “Premio del Ministero della Marina”.
