Information
Signed photo of William Katt as “Ralph Supermaxieroe” (“The Greatest American Hero”), JSA certified, 28 x 35 cm (11” x 14”). William Katt (born 1951) is an American actor and musician whose career, which began with prominent film roles, is inextricably linked to the success of the cult 1980s TV series, “The Greatest American Hero.” Created by prolific producer Stephen J. Cannell, the series was a superhero comedy that poked fun at genre clichés and centered on a helpless antihero. The series became a true cult classic thanks to its light-hearted and human approach to the superhero theme. The theme song, “Believe It or Not” (sung by Joey Scarbury), was an unexpected success, reaching the top of the pop charts. Ralph's tracksuit, with its strange emblem (inspired by a pair of scissors on the producer's desk), remained an icon of the 1980s.
