Pam Dawber is an American actress whose career is inextricably linked to her role as Mindy McConnell on the popular late 1970s sitcom Mork & Mindy. Mork & Mindy (1978–1982) was a spin-off of Happy Days that followed the adventures of an eccentric alien, Mork (played by Robin Williams), sent to Earth from the planet Ork. Pam Dawber played Mindy McConnell, the woman who finds Mork, takes him in, and patiently tries to help him understand the quirks of human culture. Though the series saw declining success after its first few seasons, Mork & Mindy is remembered as the vehicle that catapulted Robin Williams to international fame and cemented the on-screen chemistry between him and Pam Dawber, creating a piece of pop culture history.
