Information

Fossil has dedicated a limited-edition watch to the legendary Muhammad Ali, featuring a numbered, autographed photo from the boxing legend. Few athletes have achieved the level of cultural icon that Muhammad Ali achieved. He was not just a boxer, but a poet, an activist, and a figure who challenged convention. To honor this legendary status, the watch company Fossil has launched one of its most coveted limited series, destined to become a true piece of history for collectors: "The Greatest" Limited Edition Watch set. Muhammad Ali's limited-edition watch, known as LI-2004 or "The Greatest," was released by Fossil in 1993 as the fourth edition of their Sports Legends line. What makes this set so special is its packaging and attention to detail. At the center is a coin-faced watch featuring a stylized image of Ali and the words "World Champion 3 Times," celebrating his unique status as a three-time lineal heavyweight champion. The watch itself was housed in a unique tin, made specifically for the set. The watch is housed in an elegantly designed, fine wood box. The real highlight for collectors is the plaque on the box lid. It is adorned with an iconic photograph (Neil Leifer's 1965 photograph of Ali standing over a defeated Sonny Liston), hand-signed by Muhammad Ali in silver ink. The set includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from both Fossil and, for the autograph, from Muhammad Ali GOAT, Inc. The Fossil Muhammad Ali Set was produced in a limited run of just 7,500 hand-numbered pieces. The box that the set comes in is in fair condition, with some abrasions and signs of wear.
