Jack LaMotta's autographed card, in a slipcase and certified by JSA. Jake LaMotta (born Giacobbe LaMotta, New York, 1921–2017) was a legendary American boxer of Italian descent, known for his incredible stamina and aggressive fighting style. Nicknamed "The Raging Bull," he was the world middleweight champion from 1949 to 1951. His life outside the ring was turbulent, marked by a violent temper, jealousy, and troubles with the law. He is universally known for the 1980 biopic Raging Bull, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro (who won an Oscar), a film that immortalized his complex and self-destructive personality.
