Graeme Souness autographed card wearing a Sampdoria shirt, published by Panini for the 2022/2023 Elite Serie A Soccer A series. Limited edition of 10. Graeme Souness was an icon of Scottish and international football, and is remembered for his time at Sampdoria as one of president Paolo Mantovani's first major signings. Souness arrived in Genoa in 1984, directly from Liverpool, where he had served as captain and had just won his third European Cup (the 1984 final against Roma). In his first season, 1984-1985, Souness played a decisive role in the Blucerchiati's victory in the club's first Coppa Italia, defeating AC Milan in the final. Souness played for Sampdoria for two seasons (from 1984 to 1986), making 56 Serie A appearances and scoring eight goals.
