Information
Rivaldo's autographed card, wearing an AC Milan jersey, published by Panini as part of the Immaculate Modern Marks 23/24 series, limited to 49 copies. Rivaldo's (Vítor Borba Ferreira) tenure with AC Milan represents one of the club's greatest regrets in recent history. Arriving in the summer of 2002, the Brazilian was at the height of his fame: he had just won the World Cup with Brazil and had won the Ballon d'Or in 1999. However, his time with AC Milan was deeply disappointing. Inserted into a stellar team coached by Carlo Ancelotti, Rivaldo struggled greatly to find his place in the squad. He often appeared listless, slow, and unable to adapt to Italian football and Ancelotti's demands. Paradoxically, his only full season at Milan (2002-2003) was one of the club's most successful: the team won both the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League. Given his limited playing time, in November 2003 (at the start of his second season), he mutually decided to terminate his contract with Milan, ending his tenure with 40 appearances and 8 goals.
