length 33,5 cm.
7-1/2", round, 44 cal. barrel (inside with slight pitting and encrustation that needs cleaning, visible rifling), featuring the standard Hartford address mark on the back. Modified foresight? "Fluted Cylinder" type, i.e. with fuller, and lowered at the back, featuring patent mark and serial numbers. Working mechanism, three snaps, working safety lock at the trigger. The frame with four screws and carving at the cylinder cover to mount a removable butt (not present), and mark "COLTS PATENT"; inside mark "G". Brass trigger guard. Iron back band with slot to mount a removable butt at the base. Walnut grip with traces of military inspection stamps on both sides and with deep mark "K.10 CAV.Y / ...3" on the left side. Matching serial number "27xx" on barrel, cylinder, frame (not on the pin, replaced?), trigger guard and grip. Barrel wedge without numbering (replaced). Average to good condition. Some areas with slight traces of finishing
