Smooth, six-shot cylinder with rectangular notch decorations and non-visible engraved elements. Working mechanism, three triggers, working trigger safety lock. Frame marked "COLTS PATENT" and "U.S.". Brass square trigger guard with "G" mark nearby. Brass grip strips. Walnut grip, apparently unmarked. Areas of pitting, signs of use and time. Matching serial number "98xx" on barrel, cartridge rammer, barrel lock, cylinder, frame, pin and grip strips.
