Carved and pierced iron hilt, butt-plate decorated with floral motifs and trophies, two arms of the hilt, centre of crossguard pierced and lined with burgundy velvet, parry quillon with enlarged head. Buttoned pommel worked en suite. Grip covered with copper wire binding and Moor's head (from a later period?).
