Straight blade of triangular section with hollow sides, featuring at the forte traces of bluing and small raceme and trophy engravings with remains of gilding. A “W” marked at the base on one side. Polished iron hilt with elliptical butt-plate with festooned border, ornamented with fretwork and curled on the hollow side with carvings and faceted iron beads. Block with facetted iron beaded rosette and straight quillons decorated en suite. Pommel and grip decorated with coils with fuller and enriched with the same decorations as the other elements. Chain-shaped guard. Without scabbard. In typical British taste very popular in Europe at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, especially in Naples.
