Straight double-edged blade, with a fuller near the forte bearing the inscription “SAGUM EL VIEGO / EN TOLEDO.” Gilt metal hilt, guard with engraved (inner and outer) borders featuring geometric and floral motifs; smooth knuckle bow, two side rings. Spherical pommel with matching decoration. Grip wrapped in braided wire with “Moor’s heads” in copper wire, the braids divided by a metal band with slightly embossed small spheres.
