Interesting gilt brass hilt, the butt-plate has two symmetrical valves completely worked with a pierced grid pattern, the solid parts are structured and decorated with a flower at the centre of the two valves, within a circular medallion; carved floral motifs in bas-relief; the centre of the crossguard is decorated with geometric and plant motifs, the background surface is dotted. Spherical pommel decorated in the same style as the butt-plate. Wooden grip covered with checkered (and non-checkered) strips and copper wire Moor's heads.
