Study copy composed as follows: 43 leaves, fully preserved; 7 leaves, partially preserved and completed in pen from an earlier date; 29 leaves, completely redone, including the illustrations, restorations, light water stains, 19th-century half-vellum binding and corners. Ex libris "Familiae Vinciorum" on the back of the flyleaf.
Specialist Notes
First edition of this Italian translation of Vitruvius's treatise describing construction techniques and materials used in the second half of the sixteenth century. This copy has several missing pages, replaced with elegant drawings.
