Beautiful allegorical frontispiece designed by Lippi and engraved by Zuccarelli, a folded plate with the portrait of Paolo Minucci, painted by Pietro Dandini and drawn and engraved by Pietro Masini, a copperplate self-portrait of Lorenzo Lippi engraved by Francesco Zuccarelli and a family tree of the Minucci family, a red and black title page with a copperplate vignette, copperplate initials, headpieces and tailpieces, a light halo on the inside margin of the last quires of the second volume, contemporary half-leather and marbled paper binding, red edges.

A burlesque work appreciated not only for its lively comic vein, but also for its wide repertoire of popular Tuscan expressions, which earned the poem its inclusion by the Crusca among the exemplary texts of the language.
