Information
Splendid parchment Gradual of 104 leaves, measuring 630 x 410 mm., adorned at the incipit with the large image of a cleric, two roundels containing Saint Catherine and Mary, floral decorations at the edges, in the body of the volume 24 large illuminated initials of variable sizes (7 x 5 cm, but also 6 x 6 cm.) and 441 small initials (3.5 cm. or 4 x 4 cm).
Specialist Notes
As far as the iconographic apparatus is concerned, the most plausible context would seem to be that of Boccardino the Younger, therefore Florence, with similarities also traceable in the choir books made for the Benedictines of Cassino and Perugia.
