Vera Miles (born 1929) plays a crucial role in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 masterpiece, Psycho, playing the role of Lila Crane. While Janet Leigh (Marion Crane) takes center stage in the film's shocking first half, Lila emerges as the central investigative character in the second half, taking on the role of the one searching for the truth after her sister's mysterious disappearance. Lila, along with Marion's boyfriend, Sam Loomis, embodies determination and courage.
