Information

Sharon Stone's autographed photo depicting one of the most iconic and controversial moments in cinema history: the leg crossing in "Basic Instinct." Size: 21.5 x 20 cm (8" x 10"), PSA/DNA certified. During a police interrogation, Stone's character, writer Catherine Tramell, wears a white dress and sits facing the investigators. To distract and provoke them, she adopts a seductive and coldly manipulative stance. The climax of the scene is the moment when, with a slow and calculated gesture, she crosses and steps over her legs, briefly revealing the absence of underwear. The sequence made Sharon Stone a global star and made Basic Instinct a hugely successful erotic thriller. However, it also sparked controversy. The actress later said she shot the scene at the request of director Paul Verhoeven, who assured her nothing would be visible, and that she felt "betrayed" when she saw the final cut with the explicit close-up. Verhoeven has always denied this, claiming that Stone was aware of it. Regardless of the versions, the scene remains a powerful symbol of female empowerment and sexuality in 1990s cinema.
