Photo autographed by Matthew Modine in an iconic scene from Stanley Kubric's masterpiece "Full Metal Jacket", measuring 21.5 x 20 cm (8" x 10") and certified PSA. After leaving training, soldier "Joker" (Matthew Modine) finds himself operating in Da Nang as a war correspondent. An iconic scene from the film takes place in Hue City, where a South Vietnamese soldier introduces the Marines to a prostitute. It is here that Papillon Soo Soo, in the role of the prostitute, utters his most memorable line, which has gone down in cinema history: "Well, baby, me so horny. Me so HORNY. Me love you long time. Me so horny. $15 to beaucoup. $5 each. Me sucky sucky. Me lub you long time." In Italian, the line is remembered as: "Oh, baby. I love you so much. I love you so much. I love you so long." This scene highlights the exploitation and dehumanization of the local population by American forces. During the interaction, Joker, with his cynical observant nature, largely observes the exchange. The prostitute, played by Papillon Soo Soo, and another girl who appears in the scene embody the side of Vietnam that the soldiers are there to "save" or "destroy," depending on their perspective.
