GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Presented in 1975, the Ferrari Dino 208 GT/4 represents a milestone in Maranello's history, born from the need to adapt to the complex Italian economic landscape of the time. In the midst of the energy crisis, Italy introduced a punitive tax (38% VAT instead of 18%) on engines over two liters; to preserve the domestic market, Ferrari responded by offering a "light" 2,000 cc variant alongside the well-known 308 GT4.

Despite its smaller displacement, the 208 GT/4 made no technical compromises: its 1990 cc V8, mounted mid-rear, delivered 170 hp, propelling the car to a top speed of 220 km/h. The design, entrusted to Bertone and penned by Marcello Gandini, marked a clear break with Pininfarina tradition, introducing the taut, angular lines that would define the aesthetics of the 1970s. Curiously, the car initially debuted under the sole Dino badge, in memory of Enzo Ferrari's son; it was only from May 1976 that, for reasons of commercial positioning, the Prancing Horse officially appeared on the hood, wheels, and steering wheel, until the end of production in 1980.
LOT DESCRIPTION
This 208 GT/4 is in excellent condition and has only a few kilometers on the clock. Finished in its iconic Ferrari Red with black leather interior, it comes with an ASI Certificate of Identity (Gold Plate).
