GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Presented at the 2004 Detroit Motor Show and produced in 2,398 units until 2011, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti represents the pinnacle of the Maranello-based manufacturer's 2+2 GT tradition. Its name is a tribute to Sergio Scaglietti, the legendary Modena coachbuilder who crafted the icons of the 1950s and 1960s; a legacy reflected in the design by Pininfarina under the guidance of Ken Okuyama.
The car's lines draw inspiration from the famous 375 MM, explicitly referenced in the characteristic 'scoops' on the sides. Technically cutting-edge, the 612 was the second production Ferrari—after the 360 Modena—to boast an all-aluminum structure, a solution that enhanced its driving dynamics. Under the long hood beats a 5.7-liter V12 capable of delivering supercar-caliber power without sacrificing the comfort and elegance necessary to redefine the concept of a four-seater grand tourer.

LOT DESCRIPTION

A rare opportunity for the most discerning collectors: a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in concours condition. This example boasts a unique history, having been chosen by Ferrari as a show car at the Dubai Motor Show before passing into the hands of its current private owner in 2018. The refined Bianco Avus livery over Cuoio interior enhances its timeless lines, while its low mileage and recent service performed by the official Rossocorsa network certify its state of absolute perfection.
The car currently has documents and is registered in Switzerland, a non-EU country. Therefore, the estimated prices published in the catalog and the auction price will be subject to the applicable taxes and customs duties for registration in the destination country. For example, if the buyer is resident in Italy, to register the car, they will be required to pay VAT on the hammer price, including the commission due to Finarte. Import customs duties will not be applied, as the car is Italian-built and is returning to its country of origin.
