Specialist Notes
This elegant and rare edition, produced in a limited edition under the patronage of Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany, was donated to the scientists gathered in Florence in September 1841 for the Third Meeting of Italian Scientists. The work is also notable for its valuable historical contributions, particularly those by Vincenzo Antinori on the Accademia del Cimento and the Tuscan scientific tradition, complemented by additions edited by G. Gazzari.
