Specialist Notes
An Italian mathematician, Gino Loria was a professor of higher geometry at the University of Genoa. His scientific work focused on algebraic and projective geometry, with studies on transformations and the properties of geometric figures. Alongside his mathematical research, he played a leading role as a historian and popularizer of mathematics, distinguishing himself for his broadly synthesized works and for the international dissemination of Italian mathematical culture between the 19th and 20th centuries.
