Information
dating: 1960 provenance: Italy, Made of brass-coloured metal. The grip with circular guard marked 'GAMES OF THE XVII OLYMPIADE.' On the bottom 'M.F. CURTISA BOLOGNA.' Hollow interior. These torches were carried for the opening ceremony of the Games, by torchbearers, and used to approach the Olympic fire, from Olympia to Rome, in 1960. height 40 cm.
