dating: Second half of the 19th Century provenance: Indopersia, Wide, curved, double-edged blade made of very fine damask with central cannelure and slightly reinforced tip. Both sides with gold floral decorations. Grip made of walrus tusk (some cracks) with beautiful bas-relief carvings depicting kings and court members among beaded garlands. Oval pommel depicting a princess, the border decorated with small turquoise and red stones (missing parts). Leather-covered wooden scabbard (restored) with metal cap decorated and pierced with floral motifs. Long, curved, silver-foil chape embossed and engraved with birds and floral motifs decorated with small turquoise stones (missing parts). length 49 cm.
