dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Shinogizukuri-iorimune. Nagasa (length: 42.3 cm) hada: itame mokume, hamon: midare gunome togari tobiaki, boshi: ko maru notame, horimono: Bo-hi soebi; copper habaki with remains of gilding. Nakago gimei: Soshu no ju Hiromasa 1451, du mekugi-ana. Koshirae with iron tsuba, kikka-gata, sukashi-bori, uchi-gaeschi-mimi. Handachi-type mounts. Tsuka in black silk. Saya in dark green lacquered wood, kozuka (blade marked with a kanji) with copper grip, niko-bori in gold depicting a small boat with figures. Late Edo period. Interesting wakizashi with good quality koshirae. length 61 cm.
