dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Nagasa (length: 43 cm), hamon and hada not visible, in patina, needs cleaning, copper habaki; nakago with two mekugi-ana (very close); iron maru-mimi tsuba, ko-sugashi; iron fuchi-kashira with dragonfly and floral motifs; shield-shaped menuki. Black-lacquered wooden saya complete with kozuka decorated with both sides with figures in relief, partially gilded. Small defects. length 63 cm.
