dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Slightly curved blade ribbed in the middle, gold inlaid at the base with inscriptions and leaves. Grip covered with silver foil, gilded on the front side and enriched with filigree spirals, decorated with coral and small cabochon turquoises. The back engraved with floral motifs. Silver-covered wooden scabbard, decorated en suite on both front and back. Chape shaped as a pine cone. A pair of turquoises is missing. The back provided also with a loop. Typical work of the Trebizond manufactures in Turkey. length 29 cm.
