Information
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: St. Etienne, Long, straight, double-edged blade with double fuller and short tang. The first part engraved with hunting scenes, trophies and floral motifs, the base signed 'Coulaux Arms Comp.' on one side and 'Klingenthal' on the other. Fine, silver-plated brass hilt richly carved with a hunter in front of a tree, a deer and a hound. Leather-covered, wooden scabbard with silver-plated metal mounts (missing hook), the cap engraved with floral motifs, the chape with hunter and hound among trees in high relief and partially in the round. The rear parts engraved en suite, the cap with seller's address 'Verolier 102 Rue Richelieu'. length 60 cm.
