Smoothbore, two stage barrel, square and round, separated by rings and carved floral decoration; powder chamber with deep mark of the Royal Factory of Naples among clearly defined lilies, all the elements brass inlaid; 18 mm cal at the nozzle and foresight; engraved tang. A fine miquelet flintlock with the "MC" mark beneath a crown and within an ellipse. Wooden, full stock (minor restoration) with checkered grip and a well-moulded butt with longitudinal grooves. Fine engraved brass mounts; trigger guard, counterplate and the upper part of the tang with engravings and carvings of floral motifs; on the grip, a perforated brass mount depicting a bird. Brass tipped iron ramrod.
