Wide, straight, singlòe- blade, single-and false-edged with a serrated back, finely engraved with trophies and floral motifs on both sides for about half of its length. The base is signed and dated '1864 Napoli Labruna'. Solid brass mounts with remains of gilding, the hilt with the monogram 'GN' for Guardia Nazionale (National Guard). Straight quillons decorated with floral motifs, lion's head pommel and faceted handle. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts and hook, equipped with leather shoulder strap with metal shield featuring crossed axes under a flaming grenade and 'GN' monogram.
