length 144 cm.
Long, smoothbore, two-stage, 11 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part with gold-inlaid mark "ROMA" between three flowers, silver broad sight, followed by round rings and provided with foresight; flintlock signed "Del Moro Roma" with rebated tang and engraved with floral motifs. Wooden half stock (some cracks and repairs), unscrewable butt containing the air magazine. Silver mounts (with dark patina). Horn-tipped ramrod with iron cartridge extractors with brass base.

Specialist Notes

The gunsmith Natale del Moro, originally from Brescia (Gaibi, 1978), first worked in Florence, then in Rome, where he produced this intriguing air gun. He apparently specialised in creating these fascinating silent rifles. He finally settled in Naples, wh
