length 25 cm.
5", octagonal, 31 cal. barrel, featuring a low brass foresight, featuring traces of mark on the back (not clearly legible but probably with a New York address on a single line). Frame also marked "COLTS PATENT". Iron gripstraps. Walnut grip. The revolver has the serial number "296xxx L" on the barrel, frame and trigger guard, and probably also on the cylinder, although it is barely visible. The bottom of the grip has no serial number.
