Slightly curved, single-and false-edged blade with double groove on the weak; decorated with a cartouche bearing the Savoy coat of arms and engraved in block letters with the date “16 MAGGIO 1915” and the motto “In fulgore tuo .....”; on the weak (damaged and missing parts). Brass hilt, similar to those of the "Bersagliere" sabers; long brass cap featuring a relief frieze depicting an eagle with outstretched wings above an oval with a Savoy cross in red and white enamel, and the green initials “V C A.” Anatomical ebony grip. Iron scabbard with two bands featuring two oval lugs. Complete with black leather sword-knot.
