Made of iron, with a high roped comb; the skull is embossed with acanthus leaves that are repeated in smaller size at the comb edges; there is a row of original iron rivets at the base. Plume-holder with cartouche, also made of iron. The brim and nape-guard are ribbed and pointed, rebated on the round edge, which is also roped. Iron cheekpieces embossed as a flower with six air holes in the centre of the petals. There are small missing parts on the cheekpieces; there is a small hole filled with tin on the comb.
