Vienna
length 117.5 cm.
Round, smoothbore, over-and-under, damask, 15 mm cal barrels; decorated with engraved frames at the base, some gold-inlaid (small missing pieces); interesting rib with oblique structure, thickness decreasing towards the nozzle, with checkered and longitudinal engravings at the base, then square gold with a flower engraved inside, beautiful signature in gold "Karl Pirko in Wien" in Gothic characters after some scroll decorations; with foresight. Long tang engraved with floral scrolls with a light fuller at the front. Backward spring lock, plates signed "PIRKO" and "WIEN" respectively and entirely engraved with racemes, outlined and engraved with a series of leaves on the borders; elegant cocks finely decorated with leaves, slim hammer throws with gold grid pattern. Nipples with spark arrestors. Wooden half stock with checkered butt and grip, left side with cheek piece. Iron mounts engraved en suite. Thick, wooden ramrod with white metal tip and iron cartridge extractors with screw-on brass cap. Of excellent quality.
