Round, smoothbore, 15 mm cal barrels made of fine Damask, with rib; gold-signed “Baucheron Pirmet / A PARIS / Arq.er des Princes” at the forte; gold decorative bands at the ends, front sight. Sighted tang with gold floral decorations. Forward spring locks with flat plates signed “BAUCHERON PIRMET A PARIS”; tangs and hammers decorated with dragons and floral motifs in gold; two-snap working mechanism. Half stock with chequered palm rest and grip; stag’s head carved to the underside of the butt. Iron mounts, engraved and gilt with peacock, owl, falcon and quail between foliage; the tang with a shield bearing the Savoyard eagle beneath a crown. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod with brass and iron cartridge extractor.
