Information

Original illustration featuring a Warner Bros. character (Tweety, Sylvester, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and Taz - The Tasmanian Devil) created by Italian comics maestro Sandro Dossi in 1996. The illustration measures 96 x 35 cm. It was published by Fotoedizioni Albo Stickers for the “Color and Enjoy” series. The sheet is not perfectly smooth, but slightly curved in some areas. The drawing is perfect. The collaboration between Sandro Dossi and the Warner Bros. universe represents a fundamental chapter in the career of the Monza-born master, known for his extraordinary ability to interpret the style of the great classics of international animation. Since the 1990s, Dossi has lent his pencil to almost all the Looney Tunes and Warner Bros. icons. He has drawn stories featuring Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner (Road Runner), Sylvester the Cat, Tweety, Daffy Duck, Speedy Gonzales, and the Tasmanian Devil. Between 1991 and 1993, he collaborated extensively with Corriere dei Piccoli (then published by Rizzoli) on these very US properties. His drawings were highly acclaimed in the United States for their extreme faithfulness to the original Warner Bros. style. Between 2004 and 2008, he continued to draw short stories featuring Warner Bros. characters for the magazine G-Baby (Periodici San Paolo). Dossi is considered a master of clean, expressive lines. His ability to transition from the world of Disney (where he worked for over twenty years) to that of Warner Bros. demonstrates a rare stylistic flexibility, capable of adhering to rigorous international model sheets while infusing his panels with the dynamism typical of Italian comics.
