Marcelo Salas autographed card wearing a Lazio shirt, published by Topps for the 2023/24 Merlin series, limited to 150 copies. Marcelo Salas, known as "the Matador", was one of the most celebrated strikers in Lazio's recent history. Arriving in Rome in 1998, the Chilean player was a key figure in Sven Goran Eriksson's team, which played a key role in the club's most successful period. In three seasons with the Biancocelesti (1998-2001), Salas made 117 appearances and scored 48 goals in all official competitions. His time at Lazio was studded with triumphs: 1 Scudetto (1999/2000), awaited for 26 years; 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1998/99); 1 European Super Cup (1999), where he scored the decisive goal in the final against Manchester United; 1 Italian Cup (1999/2000); 2 Italian Super Cups (1998 and 2000).
