Hernán Crespo's autographed card, wearing a Lazio jersey, published by Topps for the Merlin UCC Ageless Alchemy 2023 series. Limited to a run of 100. Hernán Crespo's arrival at Lazio in the summer of 2000 was a sensational event, at a time when Serie A was attracting the world's top talent. The Argentine striker was acquired from Parma in a deal that exceeded the 100 billion lire mark (approximately €55-57 million), setting a new record for the most expensive transfer at the time. Despite the weight of expectations and the price tag, Crespo immediately settled in the capital. Already on his debut for Lazio, he won the Italian Super Cup against Inter. His first season, 2000/2001, was extraordinary on an individual level: Crespo finished Serie A's top scorer with 26 goals. Crespo played for Lazio for two seasons. Overall, Crespo made 74 appearances and scored 48 goals in all competitions.
